From Bangkok - about 1 hour drive I am told

From Pattaya - takes me about 2.5h, but could be done faster.

From Pattaya, drive along 331 Through Chattsansao - through Cabin Buri, the road turns into 304.

Wang Nam Keaw is reputed to be in the top 10 best Ozone locations on the planet. Ozone is reputed to block harmful UVA rays.

The air is good, the elevation is higher than Chang Mai and the temperature is coooool - Can sleep with window open a crack and a quilt on.

The area was being rapidly developed as a resort/bed and breakfast area, and many wealthy people are building second or retirement homes there. Due to disputes between National Parks and private owners, the whole area has been sold off. When these disputes are settled, you can expect rapid catch up in property prices.

Wang Nam Khieo is nestled between Khao Pang Maa and Khoa Yai National Parks, if my understanding is correct, this is where all the good air is coming from.
